Vote for The University Arms: Sheffield pub up for Yorkshire award

Now is your chance to see The University Arms in Sheffield crowned as Yorkshire’s favourite pub. Voting has opened in the tourist board’s annual competition which will also see 29 runners-up added to a definitive Yorkshire Ale Trail list.

You can vote for the pub on the Welcome to Yorkshire website now, with the closing date set for 1st June. If the pub is successful it will then go through to a final round of voting to decide once and for all the 2016 champion, with the winners announced at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.

A real ale treasure

The University Arms is a Sheffield real ale treasure that finds itself popular with many of the city’s locals, students and real ale enthusiasts. The pub’s wide array of drinks and traditional pub menu continue to please all the year round. Other revered features include the beer garden, which offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of the city centre during the summer months.

Also available for low key private parties, the pub has been popular with University societies and sports clubs for a range of celebrations and get-togethers. It’s location at the heart of the University’s campus also makes it the ideal meeting place for students and staff looking to enjoy working lunches and after study drinks.

The University Arms is part of the hUStle and bUStle group of venues from withUS which offers a range of deals, including Saturday’s Beer and Burger for £7.95. Opening times are Monday – Thursday, noon – 11pm; Friday – Saturday, noon – midnight; and Sunday, CLOSED.
