Summer is here, the sun is shining (most of the time) and we hear the sound of wedding bells! With a season of summer weddings, here at Inox we love to keep things local when we can, so here are our hidden gems. We want to share with you Sheffield’s best local wedding suppliers for your special day.
Local food at your wedding venue in Sheffield
We use local suppliers for our menus, so we’ve already done the hard work for you and found the best ones around. Moss Valley Fine Meats is an award-winning butchery in the heart of the Moss Valley and on the outskirts of Sheffield. We also love to use Our Cow Molly for milk and ice cream, a local dairy that we’re proud to say just won the BBC Food and Farming award in the ‘Future Foods’ category for 2016.
Of course we can’t forget about Henderson’s Relish – being a proud Sheffield wedding venue, we love to include it in our dishes. Start your afternoon with canapés like our Inox Bread and Batter, which are mini Yorkshire puddings filled with onions and Henderson’s Relish. You could even give a mini bottle to your guests as wedding breakfast favours, a nice way to make sure favours will be taken home and used.
Remember, it’s not just about the food but it’s also the way it’s cooked! Our Head Chef, Joe Berry, is a Master Chef of Great Britain and his team of talented and creative chefs create a bespoke menu for each couple that choose Inox as their wedding venue.
Sheffield drinks options
When your guests get thirsty, start your day as you mean to go on. Our favourite breweries include Welbeck Abbey Brewery just a hop, skip and jump away in Welbeck Abbey, Nottinghamshire, and Thornbridge Brewery in the Peak District. We also have a penchant for Sir Robin of Locksley’s Distilled Artisan Gin, which they proudly proclaim is ‘forged in Yorkshire’.
Our Gin Beer Fizz Cocktail is a firm favourite of ours and uses Sir Robin of Locksley’s gin and Thornbridge Brewery’s Jaipur Baar.
Choose your Sheffield wedding decor
Why not pair your local fare with some Yorkshire-inspired colour schemes using purples and natural tones from the moors in your bouquets and have wildflower centrepieces for the tables? Heather is found all over the Yorkshire moors and the luxurious purple tones of this plant can be introduced into your flower arrangements, bridesmaids’ dresses and even your drinks.
